Why you should hire me

I am a professional seeking an opportunity to succeed in a good company such as yours. I'm confident that I am a competitive candidate for this job.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Development Communication. Having majored in Journalism, I worked as a copyeditor and business news correspondent for a local newspaper for three years. I have excellent command of the English language in both writing and speaking. Even before joining the workforce, I was already a campus journalist and a school paper editor and have been competing in various writing tilts nationwide. I can write and edit news, feature articles, editorials, investigative reports, scripts, essays, web content and technical reports such as resolutions, memoranda, minutes of meetings, business letters, etc. I also have experience in content writing and article spinning for a blog network.

I am also experienced in organizing events, creating reports, conducting research, managing files, documenting and collecting data. These skills were honed through my previous work experience as an Economic Development Specialist in a government planning agency. For almost four years in government service, I functioned as the Executive Assistant of the Regional Development Council - Region 10, the highest planning and policy-making body in our region (state). The job entailed the performance of preparatory and post secretariat work in the conduct of meetings and huge conventions. All other administrative tasks related to the function of the Council were also my responsibility such as managing schedules and e-mails, acting on various requests, facilitating trips, etc.

I am working on a brandnew "Dell Inspiron 15 5000 Series - 15.6" - 7th Generation Intel® Core™ i5-7200U Processor (3M Cache, up to 3.10 GHz)" laptop computer with a high speed fiber optic internet connection via PLDT. I have a good, spacious and comfortable working space at home.

I am organized as well as self-driven, eager to learn and easy to teach. I am searching for a long-term job that can accommodate my preferred work-from-home lifestyle and want to be part of a great team while continually improving my skills and learning new things.

I am convinced that I can be an asset in any position requiring efficiency and dedication, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

It is a fantastic, comprehensive letter stating your experience. Unfortunately in today’s hustle bustle employers are looking for bullet points for skill sets, experience and a short resume with “just the facts.” If you were applying to a small business what you have is perfect. Just my humble opinion. Execs do not have time to read a very nice letter. Just a suggestion, use a bold font. Good luck.
